At Trinity, we are extremely committed to our Growth Groups!  They are the core of our adult ministry.  The mission of these small groups is to help us grow in relationships with one another and with Christ.  It is here that you will find fellowship in committed community, learn and study the Bible, and hopefully even serve the community and church together.  These groups of 8 to 16 adults meet in a person’s home or at the church and study together  Sign ups begin Sunday, August 21st. The Growth Groups begin in September.

Our adopted family at Christ’s Haven is gearing up for back-to-school and this includes shopping for all the kids. You can help in getting the necessary school supplies, clothes, and shoes by donating in one or more of the following ways:

·  Online donations through the TPC website

· Checks (Christ’s Haven Cottage #3 in memo)

· Kohl’s gift cards

· Gift cards to any shoe store

· Greeting cards of support and prayer for the school year

We will pool the donations and deliver them to the Cottage parents to purchase items for the 8 children per their needs. Checks, gift cards, and greeting cards should be dropped in the church office by August 7th. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Come  help “TIE” 99 blankets for the students at Emmanuel Orphanage in Guadalajara, Mexico. on Saturday, April 30 from 10am – 2pm  A lite lunch will be served from 11am – 1pm, in the Oasis Bar. There is NO SEWING INVOLVED!! Spend an hour or all day helping. See the sample blanket that our Pre-K students made in the entry to the Worship Center. Please bring your socks to wear, as no shoes, food or drinks will be allowed in the Worship Center as we will be working on the floor. We will have tables set up for those who cannot sit on the floor. Please RSVP to Barb Walter at edandbarb1@aol.com so we know how much food to have for lunch.

Please join us on the patio for breakfast and some fellowship. We will begin at 8:30 am and you are welcome to come any time before the service begins at 9:30 am. Thank you to those who are bringing food, please have your items to the church by 8:20 am.

Join us for these special worship services as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord:

· Palm Sunday Worship, April 10 at 9:30am
Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and into our lives.

· Good Friday Worship, April 15 at 6:30pm
Join us as we celebrate Good Friday with a Tenebrae service.

This Service of Darkness commemorates the suffering and death of Christ and is based on the ancient Tenebrae
(the gradual extinguishing of candles.). Dating from the 8th century, Tenebrae was originally observed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of Holy Week. It represented the darkness that fell over the earth as the Son of God was crucified.

Growth Groups will run from March 20—May 22.

Join us as we begin the season of Lent with our Ash Wednesday Service. Join us for worship at 6:00pm in person or online.

Join us for our New Member event on March 6th. Come prepared to meet new people & learn more about our church. We’ll meet in the Adult Sunday School classroom around 11:45. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP your interest on a Connection card this Sunday or email christah@trinitysouthlake.org.

Upward Coaches – Carroll ISD has canceled school for Thursday, February 24th due to anticipated inclement weather and the potential for unsafe driving conditions. Our policy at TPC has been to follow the lead of CISD on weather related items; therefore, we have canceled practices scheduled for Thursday, February 24th. Right now the forecast looks favorable for Friday practices and Saturday games, but please stay tuned.

We have an update for you on the games scheduled for tomorrow (2/5/22)

• Due to the predicted severe cold temperatures in the morning and the potential for the reformation of ice, particularly in our parking lot, we have made the difficult decision to cancel games originally scheduled to start at 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am and 12pm on 2/5.
• Games scheduled at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm will be played as scheduled.
• Picture day for all teams will be moved to next week (2/12), parents will be able to continue to order pictures online through next week.

We hate to cancel games, but feel like this is the best compromise for the safety of all involved.
