Men… do you hunger for something other than food?
We welcome you to join us this Saturday, March 10 for a time of fellowship and spiritual satisfaction.
New Member Event
New Members Event
Sunday, march 4 at 12:30 pm
If you’re interested in joining Trinity Presbyterian Church, mark your calendar and plan to join us for our next New Member event on Sunday, March 4. We’re very low-key and relaxed, so just come prepared to meet some new people and learn more about the church. Lunch and childcare will be provided. We’ll meet in the Adult Sunday School classroom (across from the office) at 12:30. Please RSVP on your connection card, or contact the church office (info@trinitysouthlake.org) so we can plan for lunch and childcare.
2018 Annual Congregational Meeting
Sunday, February 18 at 10:00 am
One of our Presbyterian traditions is to hold an Annual Congregational Meeting. This is an important time for us to join together to review where Trinity Presbyterian Church has been and determine where we’re going in 2018 and beyond.
We encourage all the members of our Congregation to attend this meeting which will be held on February 18 at 10:00 am, between the two Worship services. Sunday school classes will not be held that day and we will have a special Children’s time in the theater room.
Ash Wednesday 2018
Join us on Wednesday, February 14 at 6:00 pm as we celebrate the first day of Lent with a special service and the imposition of ashes. At Trinity, our aim of Ash Wednesday is threefold:
- To meditate on our mortality, sinfulness, and need of a savior
- To renew our commitment to daily repentance in the Lenten season and in all of life
- To remember with confidence and gratitude that Christ has conquered death and sin.
All are invited and encouraged to dedicate this time to reflect on the gift of grace that Christ has given us during this season of Lent.
It’s Time for KidQuake 2018
It’s time for KidQuake 2018
April 6 – 8
This is a mini-camp experience for children in 1st-5th grade offered through Grace Presbytery at Camp Glen Lake in Glen Rose, Texas. This year’s theme is We Too are Chosen based on the life of David. The children participate in outdoor activities, small group Bible study, a mission project, and fun worship.
Two adult sponsors from our church will take the children on Friday, April 6, leaving around 5:30 p.m. from the church, will travel to Camp Glen Lake to stay with the children, and will return to the church on Sunday, April 8 around 3:00 p.m. The cost is $145 per child which includes programming, all meals (including dinner on the way and lunch on the way home), housing, camp t-shirt, and travel expenses.
We are also in need of adult sponsors. We need one male for every six boys and one female for every six girls. The cost for sponsors is covered by the church, not including the meals on the road.
If your child would like to attend KidQuake, please submit your child’s name along with payment of $145 to Rachel Peters (rachelp@trinitysouthlake.org) or the church office no later than Sunday, February 4. Checks can be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church with KidQuake in the memo line. If you want to pay by credit card, please add a $4 processing fee for a total of $149.
If you are willing to be an adult sponsor, please submit your name to Rachel Peters (rachelp@trinitysouthlake.org) no later than Sunday, February 4 as well.
Valentines Party for Presbyterian Night Shelter
We have a wonderful opportunity to love and serve the women and children who are currently living at the Presbyterian Night Shelter. Trinity will be providing snacks, games, valentines and an opportunity for the moms to receive some pampering.
Due to the safety measures of the shelter, the event itself is open only to women and children under the age of 18. However, we can use everyone’s help. We will need cookies and snacks, so be on the lookout for signup sheets after February 1.
For those attending, please meet at 1:30 p.m.to help set up in the Cafeteria of the Women and Children’s Building. This is located at 1105 E. Presidio St. in Fort Worth (on the corner of N. Kentucky Ave. and E. Presidio St.). Volunteers will also need to sign a waiver prior to the event. These will be available at the church or through Amanda Chumchal prior to the party.
Ladies let’s go on a retreat
Women of Trinity
Let’s go on a retreat together!
Camp Gilmont is hosting a women’s retreat the weekend of February 2-4 called Expectation vs. Hope.
The cost is $180 to have a double occupancy lodge room or $160 for a community cabin. If we can get 10 of us the cabin cost would be reduced to $150.
If you are interested, please contact Rachel Peters (rachelp@trinitysouthlake.org) by Friday January 12th with your choice of a lodge room or community cabin. She will give you instructions on how to register.
