Giving

Giving is a vital part of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  We don’t give because of what we have received from the church (as if we were paying for services) instead we give because we recognize that all we have is a gift from God.

• We give back to tell God ‘thank you’
• We give because God commanded us to
• We give because it’s how we keep money from becoming an idol in our lives
• And we give because it is what Jesus modeled… Jesus gave

And of course we don’t just give of our money, but of our possessions, time, and talents.
