Prayer Shawls & Baby Blankets

Shawls and baby blankets are lovingly knit by hand and donated by the Prayer Shawl Ministry to provide extra spiritual support or to share in Life’s celebrations.  This team combines both Service and Fellowship into one rewarding activity.

The prayer shawl knitters meet in the adult classroom at Trinity.  Check the church calendar for current dates and times.

Serve Opportunity: I Can Still Shine Event

I Can Still Shine Program

30 Adult Volunteers from Trinity Needed

Saturday, July 12th 9:30-2:30

The I Can Still Shine Event is an opportunity for us to be a blessing to the moms and kids in the I Can Still Shine Program. This is Trinity’s second year hosting the event, and this year there will be 50-60 moms and kids in attendance! Moms will get a little pampering, lunch, inspirational message, and more, while their kids are taken care of and treated to games, face painting, and other activities.

To sign up, contact the office 817.442.8983 or sign up on Sunday in the lobby.

We need volunteers who will:

• Show LOVE and Trinity Hospitality
• Make & serve lunch
• Help with kids activities –Face painting, crafts, etc
• Men are needed to help with security & to help with basketball for the older kids
• If you are skilled in nail painting for manicures/pedicures, or know a professional hairstylist who would like to participate, please let us know. Otherwise, the folks at I Can Still Shine will provide these services.

About the I Can Still Shine Organization:
The I Can Still Shine Program is a faith-based, safe, supportive center for battered or abused women and children, as well as battered women coming from drug and alcohol rehab programs.  We provide our clients the opportunity to choose safety and protection over victimization, domestic violence, and drug abuse. We offer a new start to our women and children.  We serve our clients in the DFW and North Texas Area with food, clothing, furniture, resumes, counseling with Christian Counselors, emotional & spiritual support, and more!
