Fellowship
We believe that we can best grow as disciples if we grow together. To this end we share our lives together. We celebrate, mourn, laugh and cry together. We believe that we look the most like the community that Jesus is calling us to be when we’re in authentic community together.
What’s more, we want you to be able to experience this community on a Sunday Morning. Our hope is that our church becomes a home away from home for you. We want to be a place where, “everyone knows your name, and they’re always glad you came.”
Activities
Fellowship must be organic for it to be authentic, but community is becoming so rare these days that we try and facilitate our communities fellowship by certain events throughout the year. Of course our fellowship isn’t limited to these events, but instead fellowship should be happening all the time.
Here are some of the regular activities we do:
- Tuesday Night Dinners (Going out to eat during the Summer) – Find fellowship and fun with our casual dinners at a different local restaurant on Tuesdays during the heat of the summer. All are invited and you’re welcome to bring a friend or two (or more). We meet around 6:15 pm
- Dinners for 8 – Dinners for 8 is a fun and easy way to get to know new friends (and old friends better) within our church family. Groups of 7, 8 or 9 people, chosen at random, get together for a meal with an emphasis on fun and friendship. Dinners for 8 occurs twice a year—in February and July.
- Women’s Breakfast – Our Women’s Breakfast group meets on the first Saturday of each month and welcomes all women to join us for a time of bonding and fellowship.
- Men’s Breakfast – Once a month the men of Trinity gather around the breakfast table to share their experiences of life and faith. We welcome any man who is interested in getting to know one another better and learning more about how we relate to God.
- Potluck Picnic – A church-wide potluck picnic is annually held on the patio in May after Sunday School.
- Annual Easter Breakfast – A breakfast buffet is facilitated by the Fellowship Team and served prior to the Easter Worship service.
- Fall Festival – The fall festival generally occurs the last weekend of October and alternates between an Outdoor Movie and Game Night with a hot dog dinner and popcorn to a Chili Cook Off indoors complete with a bounce house for the kids and carnival games for both kids and adults. Hot dogs and popcorn are always on the menu.
- Advent Program and Celebration Dinner – Jointly coordinated by the Learn Team (Advent program and pageant) and the Fellowship Team (catered dinner) facilitate this annual event in early December. Children’s activities are a major focus of this event.
